Central Park November and going home

Central Park November and going home

I am a couple days away from heading home for Thanksgiving. I have the Country Music Awards on right now, which seems fitting because country music will always remind of home in Fresno, CA. These last few months have been some of the most difficult and rewarding of my life. I am still adjusting and making New York my own familiar place. The thought that I keep having lately as I walk through this now cold city is just how lucky I am. I try to remind myself of that even on my bad days when I feel so lonely and so lost. I remember that hot August day when I first got here. Anxiety and fear were weighing on me heavily. I was broken hearted over a loss and unsure of so much. I still am broken hearted and am often unsure, but to paraphrase from a wonderful memoir I just read, I really am trying to constantly be looking up. Never forgetting to look up.

Last weekend in Central Park was one of those perfect fall days. I turned my music up loud and walked and walked and walked. I loved every second of those few hours exploring. Here are a few pictures from last Saturday starting near Columbus Circle and ending around the Central Park Boat House and Ramble…
