January snapshots

What a whirlwind of a month. I celebrated the New Year in California and am now adjusting again to life in the city and the freezing weather! Coming back to New York after being away for about a month was hard. Unexpectedly so. While I was restless to get back, I was also happy with the nice weather and being near my closest friends and my entire family. I felt comfortable and safe having my parents right down the hall. Thankfully when I did arrive back in New York, the homesickness was there, but the intensity of it died down after a few days.

My life right now consists of working over at MSNBC, which I love, and school. Weekends have been spent taking a breath with either a good book or lots of tv. Occasionally I’ll try and take a very short walk outside (I am still adjusting to this cold weather)

The last three weeks have been a lot of fun and I am so excited for the year ahead. And spring.

I got an urge to get up early this last Wednesday to get on a ferry and take a few pics of the Statue of Liberty and the city from a different angle. It was freezing but worth it!
